At the end of the day, you turn off lights and go to sleep. Your body goes on rest mode. In sleep, you don’t know what’s going around while your mind is busy spinning stories. People call those stories ‘Dreams’. “Dreams are not what you see in sleep. They are the things that do not let you sleep”. So said the 11th president of India, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and I completely agree with him.
As young children, we are curious, we have aspirations, we have ‘Dreams’. As we grow, we either leave those aspirations, or start gaining more interest in them and make achieving them, our life goal. We try to put every bit of our soul into achieving it. We start taking efforts, sometimes even pain.
While pursuing these dreams, there is always an element of uncertainty, which often gives rise to self doubt. This is the part where we need to be strong and help ourselves. We need to believe ourselves, we need to keep in mind, the dreams and innocence of our younger selves.
Our destination, asks for a lot of things before we reach it. Dedication, sincerity, honesty, hard-work and sacrifices. It is possible to win every battle with these weapons. The determination to reach our destinations, drives us and agrees to all the conditions of the destination.
During the journey of achieving our dreams, we crave for certain things. We need to surround ourselves with people who respect our dreams, who push us to perform the best of our capability, who stand by our side and support us. They try to bring out the best in us and play an important role in our journey.
Our dreams have the power to change us for good. They have the strength to turn all tables, we just need to find them and realize their importance. Losing hopes is not an option. We have to put in all possible efforts, and then no one can stop us from living our ‘DREAMS’.
